AviaDev Europe Charity Run – Valencia, Spain

In December 2018, we successfully inaugurated our first European aviation event – AviaDev Europe – in sunny Valencia. As it´s been a great tradition over all AviaDev events, we organized the morning charity run to support a good cause and keep our delegates in good shape for the rest of the conference. The run was sponsored by our long term supporters, Embraer.

On the morning of 5th December 2018, runners from European regional airports and airlines joined us before the sunrise. The bus took us to one of the Valencia´s most iconic landmarks, Torres de Serranos.

Then we enjoyed the run in the Turia Riverbed Park, created years ago when the river was moved to a different direction and the riverbed was dry.

We finished the run at another fabulous place, a true icon of Valencia, the City of Arts and Sciences.

Most importantly, the sponsors – Embraer along with AviaDev – donated an amount for each runner that participated in the run to the local charity called Amics De La Gent Major. The charity takes care of the elderly people in Valencia living alone. The total raised was 1,000 EUR and the cheque was presented later that day.
