AviaDev Europe 2019: Supporting Future Leaders and a Local Charity
The 2nd edition of AviaDev Europe took place on 23rd -25th October 2019 in beautiful Valencia.
Creating Impact has been in the DNA of AviaDev since the start. Similar to the rest of the AviaDev events, we successfully delivered our AviaDev Ambassador programme. After a competitive process, we chose Stefan Suiugan from Buckinghamshire New University and Ross Still from Coventry University.
They were an important part of the AviaDev team, helping us deliver a great experience for all the delegates and they also presented their thoughts on European regional aviation in front of 200 professionals from European airports, airlines, tourism boards and aviation suppliers. Both Stefan and Ross performed brilliantly and used this opportunity to network with industry professionals throughout the whole event. The Avia Dev Europe Experience and the contacts they made in Valencia will help them on their career path in our fascinating aviation industry.
On the last morning of the event we organized a traditional Morning Charity Run. We switched the location from the Turia Riverbed Park (where we ran last year) to the wonderful scenery at the Malvarrosa Beach. In the second part of the 5k run we were blessed with a picturesque sunrise at the beach. It was truly an amazing experience, and definitely worth the early wake up call.
Most importantly, our run supported a local charity called Amics De La Gent Major. The charity takes care of the elderly people in Valencia living alone and together with our sponsor, De Havilland Aircraft of Canada, we donated 1,000 EUR to this charity. A big THANK YOU to everyone involved for helping us create impact in the destinations where we organize our events.
